TSL Blog

The ServiceLine Blog post is all about Talking and discussing about Customer Experience, Customer Support, Events and Technology driving delivery of exemplary customer service and support.

Let's give them a future

Today i will not talk about customer service, but rather service. Service to the needy, service to the less fortunate, service to Kenyans. I salute you Pauline Kalonzo.

Yesterday i was fortunate enough to be invited to celebrate an award recently given to Hon. Kalonzo Musyoka - African Dignitary Man of the Year Award. Though this is no longer news something i took home from the event may be news to you and so many other Kenyans. Ever since Hon. Kalonzo Musyoka dedicated the award to his wife, i have been meaning to ask him why he dedicated the award to the wife and i thought this invitation would be the perfect chance to do just that. Don't you have a similar question? Did you even know that he actually did this? How many politicians can actually dedicate such an award to their wife?

I stand corrected on this but i think Hon. Kalonzo Musyoka is the first.

Behind every successful man, there is a woman

Just like a typical kenyan, i arrived late at the intercontinental. Fortunately , i wasn't too late to listen to a video recording of Pauline Kalonzo talking about touching lives and changing lives. Touching and changing lives through education.

Lets give them a future - Words that caught my attention and made me stop eating the sumptuous dinner i was enjoying as i listened to the video. Pauline was talking about the less fortunate in this country, those who really need help and what Kalonzo Musyoka Foundation was doing to change their lives, to give them hope and reason to live for the next day. I saw passion, i saw dedication, i saw a mother and i heard a real leader speak through that video and immediately i got the answers i went to seek from Hon. Kalonzo Musyoka.

Raising a child, two children or even three children is a nightmare and very few men know what it entails, but you will agree with me that all women know exactly what it means to raise a child leave alone children. Through Kalonzo Musyoka Foundation, i learnt that Pauline Kalonzo, funded, educated and nurtured over 1,500 Kenyans from across the country, personally overseeing the needs of each individual child as the board chair.

How else then, could Hon. Kalonzo appreciate the hard work, determination and support of a loving mother with over 1,500 children. Yeah, you got that right. The African Dignitary Man of the Year according to Hon. Kalonzo Musyoka was close to being African Dignitary Woman of the Year.

If you agree with Pauline on #LetsGiveThemAFuture, lets all join hands and spread awareness on the need to support the less fortunate in our small little way. Let us change lives, let us touch lives, lets us realize #TheNewDream.

God Bless You Pauline, God Bless Kenya and God Bless Africa.

A mother will never abandoned her children. The pain of suffering children is a pain felt by many women.

Addressing dignitaries after receiving the award he dedicated to his wife Pauline.
