The TOP Family Fun Activities in Nairobi

Family is very important and most important is how you spend your time together. With the Nairobi lifestyle where everyone is busy or on social media, less and less time is allocated for family bonding. Nairobi and its environs have great affordable places to go have fun as a family. An experience each family member will treasure for life.

Today's modern family appears to be getting more and more detached from each other. Everyone runs on their own schedule: parents spend their days at work while their children at school or with the nanny. Even when a parent thinks of starting an exercise routine, not many consider including their children.

Ice Skating at Panari Sky Center

On the second floor of Nairobi's Panari Hotel only a few kilometers from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport on Mombasa Road, is 1 of 2 equatorial African ice rinks (the other is in Nigeria). The rink measures 32 × 12 metres and has an ice skating surface area of 15,000 square feet with capacity to accommodate up to 200 skaters at a given time.

At 12°C and an ice temperature of -25°C, the arena is the coldest public space in Nairobi.

Tickets or receipts are issued at the arena 15-20 minutes prior to the start of a session and are valid for only single sessions.

GP Karting

Imagine being challenged as a parent in a game by your children. Involving your children in life challenges and even sports challenges strengthen the ties within the family but also foster certain values and learnings into their daily life which they can anchor and learn from through an exciting classroom.

Involve your children by creating an exercise challenge. An option is having this kind of fun at GP Karting. The climax is the adrenaline that comes when the family is racing against each other on the track. Imagine 10-year-old Henry beating dad to the finish line. How cool is that? Or 8-year-old Nancy winning her 15-year-old brother with best racing time. Awesome uh? GP Karting is great for mummies and daddies to hang out with the kids. GP Karting is located off Lang'ata Road, next to Splash. They will provide you with a helmet, a racing suit and a full driver's briefing to get you going this weekend.

This would be the perfect opportunity to reach out to your kids and make them open up to you as they help you complete the words of the song because they know it much better than you do.

Uhuru park has expansive lawns, shade trees, and well tended gardens making it one of the most attractive green spaces in the city, drawing throngs of city residents on weekends and public holidays. Boat riding on the artificial lake in the Park is popular pastime. Several foot bridges adorn the Park, as they provide eye-catching links to an artificial island in the Lake.
